LA SANTANERA (Nitelife)

La Santanera was born as a concept in summer 2003 by a group of visionaries that detected that in Playa del Carmen was something missing: A place with A/C….. Having this in mind, the project was developed. When La Santanera was made, it was possible to show the musical taste of the people involved, offering a different sound than the one the town was used to, making the music the center piece and the soul of the place. La Santanera looks as it sounds, it..s an irreverent eclectic space, low-fi, .low tech and laid back, with a mexican retro-tropical essence. Once the place to make the little air conditioned club was found, it was decided as an extra, to have a terrace in order to have a more relaxed space, and it turned out to be a super hit.
